At long last, some MGS Movie News.
It has been unveiled that the vaunted Metal Gear movie will be produced by none other than Sony Pictures.
Yair Laundau, vice chairman of Sony Pictures, in an interview with Gamestop after his D.I.C.E keynote, confirmed that his studio is behind the film and commented on how MGS is ‘a very cinematic game, it really lends itself to a movie’.
He also mentioned that they’ve “been working closely with the Metal Gear guys”, so we can hopefully expect a better adaptation than what the critically panned, but highly profitable, Resident Evil series was given.
